On December 10 local time, Weichai’s Saudi Arabia office held a special training session on the new WP12H engine in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, under the theme of “Global Engine Training for Excellence”.
This product training was conducted by the service manager of Weichai’s resident office in Chinese and English, covering both product explanations and practical operation teaching. The trainees are all maintenance technicians from Weichai’s heavy-duty truck service stations in the Saudi region. Their service capabilities would directly affect the local customers’ recognition of Weichai products.
Weichai’s WP12H series have added new members, leading the industry upgrade with five core advantages. In terms of power, the maximum torque is 2300N·m; in the Saudi region, it is promoted at 2200N·m, with the speed range optimized to 950rpm. The low-speed high-torque performance leads the competition, and the torque reserve is sufficient, which can reduce the frequency of gear shifting and has stronger adaptability. The economic performance is outstanding. The combustion is precisely optimized, and the friction loss is simultaneously reduced by the system, with fuel consumption 5% lower than that of competitors.
Relying on the State Key Laboratory of Engine and Powertrain Systems, and in collaboration with global leading component suppliers, it has forged an ultra-high quality. Through topology-optimization structural design, the application of lightweight materials and the implementation of new processes, the engine’s self-weight is 150kg lower than that of competitors with the same displacement. At the same time, the noise reduction and sound insulation are upgraded, and the overall noise is reduced by 5.5dBA, bringing users an efficient, energy-saving and comfortable usage experience.
